Some cultures believe red dragonflies represent rejuvination after hardships or trials while others believe it to be a symbol of courage, strength and happiness. I think the common thread there is the connection with resilience. That persevering through a trial or hardship shows strength and teaches you what you are capable of accomplishing. The result is a period happiness and given time to recover, rejuvenation.
